setting arrival expectations with "ish"

"Ish" not to be confused with "aish" which denotes a sigh, which denotes - no way, (way) no WAY, (Aish) - "ish" is a management add-on which belongs to the time management discipline.

So when people ask me what time do I generally arrive at big-bad-oil-and-gas, I always say, "9-ish."

This morning 9-ish was 09h22, perfectly acceptable. The trick is to move away from specifics, that's to tactical a level of thought into the realm of all things strategic, where the air is thin and who knows what's in the morning tea, certainly nothing pragmatic. Now "ish" may only be three small letters but I would advise you to use it to your advantage.

I still haven't thought up any interview questions, I only have one in a case of an emergency: "How do you manage your time?"

The perfect and correct answer is: "I manage, people, people issues always take precedence."

Today's agenda involves, a case study review, some DSPs (you are not suppose to know what that means) and an Oracle e-business suite presentation - "Aish!"
