a suit for all occasions

There was a time when I had a wardrobe full of suits, now I only have two, both dark practical colours, both different weights, both suitable for all occasions. When I worked in big-bad-retail we went from wearing suits to smart casual by way of office dress and almost instantly many of my suits practically disappeared. My cycle for looking like an auditor from the big five, passed quickly and without regret.

This weekend however demands that I don my best dress and be in attendance, it's not the annual horse racing event, it's not a wedding - it's a funeral and while the other events are optional, funerals are mandatory affairs. My father's, mother peacefully completed her cycle, at 89 it was a rich and blessed life but for my father I will supportively be wearing that mandatory suit in this his time of need and acceptance.
