passively waiting for Monday's industrial espionage

Sundays are for listening to jazz and watching people walk by my window. It’s a low energy and reflective day for me.

It’s one of my favourite days of the week, simply because it is acceptable, even appropriate not to do things, not to scurry around, but to be putting things off. But then that’s me - because this morning there seems to be plenty of activity on the street below as Chet Baker has given way to Re:Jazz in the cd shuttle. There’s a big walk on the go and waves of people are purposefully striding along the promenade.

They have got numbers on their chests and trainers on their feet; it looks very serious for all shapes and sizes. I am thinking about an espresso and about lunch by the sea later, life continues to pass me by but I am practicing, honing my skills for another week at big-bad-oil-and-gas where I hope that it’ll once again quietly pass by, no mess, no fuss.

Here’s wondering what Monday’s industrial espionage holds.
